The Meteorology Department has issued a warning to the local residents, urging them to be cautious against adverse weather conditions.
Within the last 24 hours, Bodrum has experienced 23 kilograms of rainfall per square meter, negatively impacting daily life. The Meteorology Department for the 4th Region had previously issued a heavy rainfall warning for Muğla and its surrounding areas, and following the warning, Bodrum was hit with severe rain showers. The streets and roads throughout the district are filled with water, drains are overflowing, and the rivers’ flow has increased.

An administrative investigation has been launched by the Bodrum Municipality as a vehicle fell into a rain drainage channel in Turgutreis neighborhood. This incident has brought attention to the municipality’s measures in addressing infrastructure deficiencies and resolving related issues.
As the heavy rainfall is expected to continue intermittently in Bodrum, the public is urged to follow safety precautions. Meteorology officials have warned that the rainfall may persist, and the municipality teams are ready to respond to potential flooding incidents throughout the city.
